In the different travel agencies
and through travel guides there is a lot of information about
the capital city Port Louis. The city is a must to be visited,
the Caudan waterfront a very famous place in the capital city,
there are restaurants and duty free shops there. The Port Louis
city is very busy during day time, the main offices, bank
headquarters, embassies are located there. Port Louis is the
city where are still found lot of old building which have been
constructing during the French or British colonization. The
government house is one of the oldest buildings in Port Louis.
Strangely the capital city is the smallest city and the busiest
city of the island. In the past the port was not located in Port
Louis but at Grand Port in the south east of Mauritius. |
