Grand Bay is a touristic village
located in the north of Mauritius. Grand Bay experienced a few
years ago a tourist boom. Grand Bay is well known to tourist,
some years ago when you talked about Mauritius it was equal to
Grand Bay that was the first town that was talked about. Grand
Bay has constructed its surrounding to be easy for tourists. The
village lives a lot from tourism. Since the tourist boom the
village is not as safe as before. There is a lot of burglars in
the region as they know there is a large number of tourists in
this part of the island. The northern of Mauritius is different
from the other parts of the island. When coming from Port Louis
going through Pamplemousses, when you arrive near the beach you
will see small islets a little everywhere in the sea. So many
small islets are seen only on the north part of Mauritius. |
