Mauritius is
located in the Indian Ocean. There is in the town and cities
of Mauritius a large number of pharmacies. A pharmacy is
easily recognized by the green cross found on each of them.
In a lot number of pharmacies of Mauritius Island you can
also find a doctor at specific times. In the pharmacies of
the island you find all types of medicaments coming from
Europe and a lot from India. The medicines from India are
usually cheaper than those from Europe.
Medicines are sold
in the pharmacies in single piece, it is not an obligation
to buy in a completely.
If there is twenty pills in a box
you can buy only five. It is an advantage for the Mauritian
who can’t always buy the medicines which are prescript by
the doctors as they do not have enough money and the
medicines are also quite expensive sometimes.
The pharmacies of
the island are usually open until seven in the evening.
