Port Louis capital city of Port
Louis has botanical garden, it is not very huge. Since the last
years there has been a lot of improvement done in the Port Louis
Botanical garden. The garden was and is well known to
prostitution, mainly a lot of junkies walk along the garden to
earn some money to buy some brown sugar. The capital city has
still many historical buildings; one well known is the
fortification La Citadel which can be visited. The fortification
also known as Fort Adelaide was built during the British
colonization in 1835. Port Louis Moka Range surrounds Port
Louis, among are some famous mountains as Pieter Both and Le
Pouce. When going to Port Louis, a very famous place to visit is
Le Champs de Mars which is the oldest race course in the Indian
Ocean. Some other attractions in Port Louis are, Mauritius
Chinatown, the Caudan Waterfront, Port Louis theatre, Port Louis
Bazaar, the Stamp, Blue Penny and natural Historic museums. Also
located in the capital city is the oldest and biggest post
office of Mauritius Island. |
