Port Louis is the capital of
Mauritius, located on the North West coast of the
island.
The city covers an area of about 6.3 km2 with a
population of 150 thousand.It is dominated by the Citadelle, from there almost the
whole city can be observed. Port Louis is a city surrounded by a range of mountains, which is the Port
Louis Moka Range.Port Louis is the busiest city of the island, it has a
heavy traffic congestion.It is a place that you must absolutely visit. Some of
the places to visit are the Market Place mostly known as
“bazaar Port Louis”, the China Town, Caudan Waterfront,
the StampMuseum and much more. There also some hotels situated in
the city for businessman as the Labourdonnais
Waterfront, Le Suffren, Le Saint Georges.You find also
all the embassies and consulates of all countries as
Germany, france, Belgium, Switzerland, China and so on. |
