One of the places well known in
the capital city is the Chinatown. Chinatown is the place where
are found the Asian shops and restaurants. In the past the
Chinese who came to the island to Mauritius used to have there
home and shops in Port Louis and with time there have been a
Chinatown which has been created. But slowly the Chinatown is
disappearing it is not as before, the new generation don’t want
to go on living in the same area and go on with what the family
have been doing. There are in Mauritius cities that are
populated with mainly one community as the china town where
mostly Chinese community live and work, there are cities as
Plaine Verte where mostly Muslims community lives. |
