Mauritius is a
small island found in the Indian Ocean. Lot of visitors come
to enjoy the sea, white beaches and of course the sun.
Let’s talk about
the drinks in Mauritius. Of course all general drinks, as
lemonades, coke and juices are found on the island, some are
produced locally and some imported.
But the main drink in Mauritius and you must not miss to
drink it, is the famous Rum which is produced from sugar
cane.
Rum is a drink
with high quantity of alcohol, Mauritian like drinking it
pure but you can use it in cocktails too.
Rum is quite cheap
and it taste good when drunk with ice and coke.
Here a
cocktail that can be made with rum: coconut water, a dash of
lime and some rum, just give it a try you will like it for
sure.
Mauritius has also its local beer known as Phoenix Beer. It
is considered as being one of the best beers in the world
and is not expensive.
Drink it cold and it is just delicious for those
who like beer.
Drinks are usually
less expensive outside hotels; prices may be doubled in
hotels, so buy your drinks when you are doing your shopping.
