Near the beach of Grand Bay the
visitors can buy fresh fish from the small market near the sea.
As Mauritius is surrounded with water there is a lot of small
villages near the beach living of fishing. But it is a job that
brings a lot of money for the small fisherman living near the
beach. Often the fish is just enough for them to eat at home for
their family. Those going fishing in a group and having more
small boats can allow themselves to catch more fish which can
also be sold. You can see on this picture taken in the village of
Grand Bay near the beach there are different fish varieties
which are sold. Mostly it is the Mauritian who comes to buy some
fresh fish for their dinner as it is not too expensive. |
