The Canee Moossa Building that you can see on the above picture can be seen in Port Louis which is the capital city of Mauritius. The founder of the city of Port Louis is known as Mahé de Labourdonnais and was also the first Governor of the island. The city of Port Louis has mainly been founded by the French colony when they settled on the island and most of the important offices are found there. The harbour is also located in the capital city. It is the busiest city of the island. The city of Port Louis has a lot of colonial building, when you visit the capital some areas are still with very old buildings. Some historical buildings as La Citadelle or Fort Adelaide which have been constructed by the British colony are seen in the capital. The streets in the city are often very narrow and one way. But since the last years there has been a lot of new building which have been constructed and a lot of renovation has been made. Is also found in the city of Port Louis some of the tallest buildings of the island.  Some of the main attractions of capital city, Port Louis are, the Caudan Waterfront, the Port Louis market, the theatre, Chinatown, the Stamp Museum.
