The Champs de
Mars is located in Port Louis, Mauritius Island. Port Louis is
also the capital city of the island. At the Champs de Mars is
held horse racing every year. To assist to the racing course is
one of the main hobbies of the Mauritian. In 1812 was founded
the Mauritius Turf Club and during the same year was held the
first horse racing course of the island. The Champs de Mars make
part of one of the oldest race course in the southern
hemisphere. The Mauritius Turf Club is known to the second
oldest racing club in the world. The Champs de Mars is a real
part of the history of Port Louis. Usually the horse racing is
held as from the month of May and November. The horse races take
place mostly on Saturdays mostly every week. So if you want to
