In the aquarium of Mauritius you will
discover giant tortoise swimming in the “grand bleu” a
big tank of 15 meters in which you can also admire the
deep sea creatures as eels, sharks, and tortoise. The
sea turtles can be in the entire ocean except in the
Arctic Ocean. The largest turtle is the Leatherback sea
turtle; it measures up to 2 meters in length when adult,
and in width up to 1.5 meters. Its weight can attain up
to 600 kg. Most of the sea turtle species are smaller.
They have a life span up to 189 years. |
