There are also tigers in the Casela Bird Park in Mauritius. Tigers are mammals. They make part of the family of the Felidae and are also one of the four big cats. Tigers are mostly found in grasslands or forests. In the big cats family, tigers and jaguar only are good swimmers. You will often find tigers bathing in rivers, lakes or ponds. They are alone hunters, they eat herbivores as wild pigs, buffalo and deers, but they also sometimes do catch bigger or smaller prey. The human beings are for tigers their biggest predators. Tigers are most of the time killed illegally; Chinese use their fur or penises as aphrodisiac. Generally male tigers weigh between 150 and 300 kg and have a length of between 2.6 and 3.3 metrers, female weigh between 100 and 150 kg and have a length of 2.3 and 2.7 metres. The smallest tigers are the Corbetts tigers and the largest are the Arrur tigers which are from Siberia.
