The role of a boiler is to
crystallize sugar from the syrup obtained after
evaporation. Crystallization is obtained by evaporation
of the surplus of water contained in the sugar solution.
What the boiler will produce is called “massecuite”,
which is composed of crystals and mother liqueur. In
this machine with a beam, the steam is introduced into
the beam around the tubes as the “massecuite” will
circulate in the tubes as a central heating. This
“massecuite” is a perpetual movement by the effect of
the boiling it runs out of the tubes fall into a central
puit from where it recirculates in the tubes. |
