Sharks can also be discovered in the
aquarium of Mauritius in the North of the island in
Pointe aux Piments. There is a large tank called the
“grand bleu” in which you will be able to admire the
sharks without being frightened to eaten by them.
Sharks have a full cartilaginous skeleton and a
streamlined body. Depending of the species they have
five to seven gills. Sharks are known to have olfactory
senses; some species can smell a very small drop of
blood in seawater. It is worth a visit! |
