Sega is the
typical dance for Mauritius Island, which is located in the
Indian Ocean near Madagascar. This picture has been taken on one
of the pirate organising excursions to Ile aux Cerfs the
neighbouring island considered as having one of the most
beautiful beaches of Mauritius. You can see on the picture one
of the dancers performing. The typical clothes for sega dance
for the women are usually long wide skirt with a top. Sega comes
the slavery time, during this period they used to take anything
that could make sound and played at night to forget their long
