The scorpaenopsis gibbosa is the scientific name for stone fish, why stone fish, the answer is that it looks like a stone that’s why this name. Mostly found in tropical water and in the Mauritian sea, the stone fish is known to be dangerous and highly poisonous. The stone fish likes shallow water. It is quite difficult to recognize them in water as they have an extraordinary camouflage, they really look like stone. It has 13 strong spines along its back.
