The sacred fig tree which you see
on the picture is in the Pamplemousses Garden of Mauritius
Island located in the district of Pamplemousses in the north of
Mauritius, a few kilometres away from Port Louis the capital
city of the island. To see this huge old tree, the visitors need
to go along the Mon Plaisir Avenue and cross a little bridge and
there you see the famous sacred fig tree. The fig trees are
native to the tropics. The fruits of the tree are known as figs.
But there is a large number of Mauritian who don’t even know
what is a fig. In past the Mauritian were not interested in the
history of Mauritius, lot haven’t even visited the island they
only know their own town. For Mauritians travelling from one
town to another is a big trip mainly for those using the bus.
The Pamplemouses is place which needs a visit when you are on
