The Royal Road is one of the main roads in the town of Curepipe where are also found the shopping areas. The town of Curepipe has a population of over eighty thousand. Curepipe is the second largest city of Mauritius after Port Louis the capital of the island. One of the main attractions in Curepipe is the extinct volcano Trou aux Cerfs. In Curepipe, exactly in Forest Side is also found the MBC, Mauritius Broadcasting Corporation, which distributes Mauritian TV and radio channels over the island, the main channels are MBC 1, 2 and 3.  You will also discover in Forest Side the George V stadium which has been recently renovated. Usually Curepipe was used to a town where a large number of French descendants lived. The town was established by the French Collony and the place reminded them France. Located on the central plateau, Curepipe is one of the coolest areas of the island.
