The radiate tortoise is endemic
to Madagascar. Madagascar is an island close to South Africa in
the Indian Ocean. The radiate tortoise can be seen in the Casela
Bird Park located in the district of Black River in Mauritius
Island. The district of Black River is in the western side of
Mauritius Island. The Radiata Tortoise forms part of the
Testudinidae’s family. The length of the carapace of the radiate
tortoise may grow up to forty centimetres, its weight may attain
sixteen kilos. The radiate tortoises are said to be the most
beautiful tortoises of the world. The radiate tortoise has also
been introduced to Reunion Island. The primary food of the
radiate tortoise is grasses. |
