The Picasso triggerfish is known as
rhinecanthus assasi in the scientific language and forms
part of the balistidae family. It inhabits shallow sandy
rubble areas of the coral reefs. They are commonly found
on reef flats Their main food is benthic invertebrates.
The maximum size that the fish can attain is 25 cm. In
Mauritius it is well known as “bourse corail”. |
