The Pamplepousses garden located in the northern part of Mauritius Island can be also called the Eden Garden. The place is just incredible; you are surrounded with huge trees and colourful flowers and ponds full of lotus. The property was first bought by Mahé de Labourdonnnais and he constructed his house on it and Pierre Poivre a botanist and explorer brought different seeds which he planted in this huge garden. The botanical garden is one of the most visited gardens of the island. Not only tourist enjoy the place but also the native from Mauritius. The entrance to the botanical garden is free but since years it has been discussed of making an entrance fee.
