Rum is one of the well known
alcohol drink in Mauritius Island. Rum is produced in almost all
sugar estate of the island. Mauritius as many other tropical
countries of the world where sugar is cultivated produce rum.
Each countrys’ rum has a different taste. The main thing is that
rum has a high percentage of alcohol. At Medine sugar estate
there is a distillery where rum is produced and kept in casks to
mature. Medine is small village between Flic en Flac and Bambou.
The distillery and the factory are open to pubic and visitors
can see how sugar and rum is produced. |
