This is a picture of a long
tailed macaque; it is a monkey species with a quite long tail.
Here you can see the long tailed macaque in a cage in the Casela
Bird Park in Mauritius Island. The long tailed macaques are also
captured to be exported to different countries for experiment.
There is in Mauritius around fives companies doing this type of
business. The macaques are captured in the forest, mainly
females, then are seen by doctors, if they are in good health
and condition, they are kept to make babies. The baby monkeys
are then exported to different countries mainly America for
experiments. |
