Mauritius Island has its own and
local tea production. The main tea production in Mauritius is
Bois Cheri. There are other label as Corson, but Bois Cheri is
usually the favourite tea label of the Mauritian. Bois Cheri tea
is cultivated, produced and packed locally. Some of the tea are
produced for the export market but a lot is kept for the local
market. The tea production can be visited at the Bois Cheri tea
factory at Bois Cheri. The factory is open to public and can be
visited during day time and you can how the workers are working
on the different machines.
