On the above
picture you can observe the lake located in the crater of Trou
aux Cerfs on the central plateau in Curepipe, Mauritius. Trou
aux Cerfs is six hundred and five metres above sea level. When
being up there you will have a spectacular view of part of
Mauritius Island and make magnificent photos. While standing
near the crater you will see the lake and listen the birds in
the crater. It is considered as a dormant volcano, the volcano
has been formed millions of years ago and was active 600,000 to
700,000 years ago. The crater of Trou aux Cerfs is eighty metres
deep. Trou aux Cerfs is also one of the main attractions of
Curepipe. It is a great experience for adults and children. |
