The halichoeres is fish found in the
Mauritius aquarium. It is also known as checkerboard
wrasse. They forms part of the labridae family. The
halichoeres is a saltwater fish. It is a large family
with over 500 species. The checkerboard wrasse varies in
colouration a sit grows. The length of the halichoeres
can be up to 27 cm. The adult halichoeres is white with
black spot between each scale. The halichoeres is known
in Mauriitus as “mais vert”. |
