On this picture you can see an
Emtel antenna at the top of Trou aux Cerfs. Emtel is a group of
cellular telephone in Mauritius. The main office is located in
Rose Hill at 1 Boundary Street. In May 1989 Emtel Ltd was the
first operator in mobile telephony in the southern hemisphere.
In 1998 Emtel introduced to the Mauritian client prepaid systems
and were the first to provide this service. In 2000 Emtel
introduced SMS (Short Message Service). Nowadays there are
different services proposed to the Mauritian as post-paid or
prepaid cards, Emtel TV, MMS and caller tunes. Emtel Ltd has in
different cities of Mauritius Emtel showrooms for a better
service 520 to the clientele. The Emtel Customer Care is at NPT
Building Rose Hill. Here are the showrooms that can found in
