Above is a picture of the Edwards
Pheasant which can be seen in the Casela Bird Park located in
Mauritius Island. The park is located near Flic en Flac, a
fishing village, in the western side of the island and well
known to tourists. The Edwards Pheasant forms part of the
pheasant family. The pheasant is a bird endemic to the
rainforests of Vietnam. The Edwards Pheasant has red legs and
facial skin. It is said than there is in wild around one
thousand to three thousand of this bird species. |
