The crested pigeon is a bird
found in Australia, here on the picture it can be in Mauritius
in the Casela Bird Park. There are in Australia only two pigeons
endemic from the continent having an erected crest, they are the
spinifex pigeon and the crested pigeon which can be seen above.
The habitat of the crested pigeons is usually wooded and brush
areas and grasslands but is sometimes found near sports grounds,
watercourses and pastoral areas. The Casela Bird Park is the
only park where you can see so many bird species; there is over
hundred species of birds in this park. |
