This special picture has been
made in Beau Plan at the Sugar Museum. Beau Plan is a small
village located near Pamplemousses in the northern part of
Mauritius Island. At Beau Plan you will be able to visit an old
sugar factory which not active anymore. You may see in the
museum how sugar was used to made in the past and all about
sugar and the slaves working in the fields. The picture is the
chimney of the factory, as you see it is quit tall and you can
watch though it the sun. After you visit in the museum you can
even buy some different sorts of sugar or the famous rum of
Mauritius made of sugar cane. |
