Chamarel is one of the main
attractions of Mauritius Islands. The seven colored earth is a
wonder for the island. The village of Chamarel is very proud of
this attraction. Chamarel is a place where you can see different
layers of colored earth on a large space. The earths have not
been displayed there but it is just natural, it was volcanic
rocks which became with erosion ashes that contain mineral
oxides. This happened over hundred of years not on a small
period of time. It is not allowed to collect the earths that you
see, but there is souvenir shops at the end of your where you
can buy different souvenirs with the seven colors earths. You
can buy different souvenir for yourself and friends.
