All visitors going to Chamarel to
see the colored earth will for sure make a picture. Chamarel is
a real curiosity, even for Mauritian. But the seven colors earth
is not unique to Mauritius. The multi colors earth comes
actually from a volcanic reaction where the volcanic rocks melts
with erosion effect and give these different magnificent colors
of earth that you can admire
in Chamarel. Chamarel in itself is also a small village not far
from Le Morne which is located on the south west peninsula of Mauritius.
Chamarel forms part of all excursion organized in the south
western part of Mauritius Island. Visitors cannot miss visiting
this wonderful place in Mauritius.
