In the village of Chamarel, there is a large number of ananas plantations. Pineapple plants look very strange the way they grow. It just looks like you have an ananas and there is another one coming out of the leaves. You can see on the picture the ananas plantation. Ananas are usually found in warm tropical countries. There is in the world different varieties and species of ananas. The pineapple is a very tasty fruit. The meat is yellow for the varieties in Mauritius Island. Pineapple are sold everywhere in Mauritius. Ananas can be eaten as a fruit but are also used in different Chinese cuisine as in sweet and sour dishes. Ananas is originated from South America.
