Mauritius is surrounded of sandy
beaches and is located in the Indian Ocean, near South Africa.
The island is considered as the paradise of the Indian Ocean.
The northern part of Mauritius Island is very beautiful and from
Cap Malheureux beach the visitors can have a magnificent view on
the ocean. Mauritius Island is surrounded of small islets but
most of them are seen along the north coast. One of the popular
villages of the north is Grand Bay which had a tourist boom some
years ago. Cap Malheureux is part of the history, during the
French colonisation the British landed at Cap Malheureux and
took possession of the island and renamed it, as in the French
period the island was known as Ile de France. |
