The main attraction and landmark
of Cap Malheureux is the famous red chapel with its red and the
bell tower besides the magnificent scenery. The view on the
ocean is beautiful you see the small island surrounding the
northern part of Mauritius Island. Some of these islands are
nature reserve, on the Flat Island there is a lighthouse which
can be seen from the Cap Malheureux beach. In almost all
advertising talking about Mauritius you will see the chapel with
the red roof, it just became very popular probably because of
its red roof because most chapel or church don’t have a red
roof, they have usually a brown or dark color. Cap Malheureux is
after the famous village of Grand Bay which is visited by a lot
of tourists.
