Mauritius
Island has for capital town Port Louis. The town is actually not
very big, but quite dense in circulation. Port Louis, the name
was given to the city since the French colonization; Port is the
French word for harbour. The market of Port Louis is well known
as attraction, all tourists visiting Mauritius goes at least
once to the market. Even the Mauritian like to go to Port Louis
market because there is a larger choice of vegetables and
products. On the picture above you can see “bombli” this is how
it is called in Mauritius. You can see on the picture it looks
quite strange, it is a fish which has been left to dry in the
sun and smells a lot, it is often grilled and then in a chutney,
called in Mauritius “chatini bombli”. |
