Bois Cheri tea is one of the main
tea mark that Mauritian drink in Mauritius Island. Tourists
visiting the island adore the tea too and most of the time they
buy it in large quantity to bring is it back home. Bois Cheri
tea is often flavoured with vanilla to give the tea a better
taste. At the tea factory, at the end of the tour you can
appreciated the different tea that are offered by Bois Cheri and
if you enjoy it you can also buy some. Tea has been introduced
in Mauritius Island years ago during the French colonisation.
Since then tea has been cultivate on the island and mainly on
the upper part of Mauritius where the weather is cooler. |
