Bois Cheri is one of the main
attractions of Mauritius Island. Bois Cheri is a village and an
estate where tea is cultivated. There is in Bois Cheri the tea
factory which is open to tourist, you can go all around the
factory and see how tea is produced first step to last step. At
the end of your visit you can taste the different tea flavours
and of course buy some souvenirs and some Mauritian tea to bring
back home. Bois Cheri tea is one of the main tea production and
estate of Mauritius Island. Tea has been introduced since the
French took possession of Mauritius, known at this time as Ile
de France. But the tea time is a practice from the British which
is still common. Mauritian can’t imagine missing the tea time at
four in the afternoon. |
