In the Saint Aubin estate sugar
is planted and agricultural rum is produced. There are two types
of rum produced in Mauritius, the industrial rum and
agricultural rum. The agricultural rum which is produced and
sold in Saint Aubin estate is obtained by distilling fresh
fermented cane. The industrial rum is obtained distilling the
molasses of cane. In Le Saint Aubin, there the colonial house
partly converted in a restaurant where the visitors can have a
nice Mauritian meal. In Le Saint Aubin estate you can how the
agricultural rum is produced and also taste it. The main
production of rum in Mauritius is industrial.
